I bought this DVD on Ebay and have watched it a good twenty times. My compliments to you; you are a terrific instructor. The DVD wasn't about you; it was about Wing Chun---and that sets you apart from so many "masters."I am a Ju-Jitsu guy, and a student of George Kirby for 30 years. His style is more of a stand-up Ju-Jitsu style. I'm not really into punching, because I regard the earth as my "power punch" (after a throw), but I love what you say about controlling--and dominating---the Center Line. And, honestly, I think our styles have much in common. Our ready position, for example, guards the center line, and we believe in controlling (as in sticky hands) our opponent's energy. We also believe in "Block, Strike, Throw, and Submit" the attacker, so being in control is very important to us, as well. I might be one of the few students of Ju-Jitsu who has a Wing Chun Dummy, but it helps me focus on position. The dummy has also "taught" me the virtues of the palm strike. Otherwise, I would break my knuckles. (:-)You are a great instructor. More than that, you are a leader. I can appreciate why so many students swear by you.Great job on that DVD,Dan CarrisonLos Angeles5/5 Stars.

Before I started any training I wanted to learn a self-defence system that would
work against a bigger and stronger opponent that did not require a lot of size
and strength to be effective. My brother's friend told my brother and I about
wing chun and the calibre of Master James Sinclair. I did a little research into
the style and saw Master Sinclair on an episode of Way of The Warrior and in
1990 I joined the UKWCKFA knowing that I was on the right track. Master
Sinclair's high level of practical knowledge and excellent teaching skills was
immediately apparent and I began to experience everything I was told about the
teacher and the organisation. The time and attention he devotes to each student
in the class can sometimes feel like you are having a private lesson. After two
and a half years of training I left to further my education at university and
stopped training to focus on my career. In 2010 I returned to the UKWCKFA; I could have gone to another wing chun school
(as my friend did) but due to my previous experience of Master Sinclair's
excellence of execution and teaching abilities, I knew that to train anywhere
else would be second best. Once I started training again, I noticed a slight
difference in the teaching style and in the application of some of the shapes
and techniques compared to when I first trained in 1990. Master Sinclair had
progressed the applications, making the fighting style and the training drills
much more alive and more suitable for a self-defence situation in the world we
live in today. His developments, his passion and his determination has produced
some talented wing chun practitioners and a great teaching and training
environment for any wing chun student at any level.Thank you for all of your hard work and the years you have dedicated to your
skills and talents in the art, which you endeavour to pass on to your students.Kev Ducran

I've been studying Wing Chun under Master James for the past 2 1/2 years.
From day 1: I've enjoyed the practicality in which the art is taught and how it can be applied in a street fight scenario. Ive found the training to be tough, mentally and physically, with a grading system to keep you encouraged.
All of the instructors are friendly and approachable, they also explain shapes and training techniques in great detail so It is easy and enjoyable to learn.
For me, it's a disciplined class which is character building and self rewarding.
I would highly recommend anyone wishing to learn a self defence system to learn Wing Chun Kung Fu at the UKWCKFAChris K
5/5 Stars.
