LChi Gerk is a training approach used by Wing Chun students to build leg skills. The old fashioned approach is to stand on one leg, however, at the UKWCKFA we feel this a ridiculous idea and does not able a person to develop the skills to their full potential.

This is the 1st of 12 parts in a series of teaching videos on the less well known skill set of Wing Chun Kung Fu called Chi Gerk or ‘Sticky Legs. Rarely taught within Wing Chun classes it is a fantastic training approach and always remains challenging and enjoyable train.
In this first short video, we introduce you to the idea and approach behind the methodology.
Wing Chun Chi Gerk as we use it is a method where we genuinely ‘stick’ to the opponent and although we use only light arm contact we aim to build our skills to offset, kicks, sweeps, throw and takedowns. There are ‘eight kicks in the Wing Chun system, and the Chi Gerk training allows for experimentation in the application of all of them.
