Sifu Eric
Wilson is the longest training member of the UKWCKFA and has seen it grow
from the early days with Master Sinclair's first teacher. Sifu Eric Wilson
is one of the most affable people you could hope to meet. He is remarkably
disciplined in all areas of his life and his physical conditioning is
a testament to that fact.
Sifu
Wilson's coaching has produced numerous good quality students who owe a
great deal to his unselfish attitude in passing on his knowledge. However,
his classes are not for the faint hearted. He does not suffer fools and
his regimen requires that ALL student behave in a manner expected of a martial
artist at all times. He is strong on discipline and teaches slowly requiring
that each student appreciate the skill and devote time to its mastery before
moving on.
Sifu
Wilson has never taught to earn money, he teaches to pass on the art the
UKWCKFA have passed on. He is happy with a small intimate class of dedicated
students. Although he has not taught his own classes for a number of years,
he is now considering opening branches in West London. If you are in that
vicinity you are in for a great opportunity to learn from a truly pasionate
individual who's only agenda is to teach Wing Chun. Sifu
Wilson and Sifu Phillips forged a special freindship that only training
and hard work (and the accompanying pain) can bring. They are still hugely
respectful of each other and make a formidable team. Eric assisted in the
first UKWCKFA MasterClass video 'Pure & Simple' but took a far more
active role in the second release 'Wing Chun Wallbag Training'.
In
November 2005 Sifu Wilson accompanied Master Sinclair to Hong Kong and Mainland
China for the Ving Tsun Athletic Assoc 2nd World Conference. In April 2006
Sifu Wilson received his recognition from the VTAA and is now a permenant
member of the VTAA and a Hong Kong recognised teacher of Wing Chun.
